Romual Jean-Baptiste on "My First Vote"

Living in a democratic society, the ability to vote is key to progress and to letting individuals decide who should represent them and their beliefs. In order to not waste my first ever vote, I have decided not to spend too much time watching CNN, FOX, MSNBC and other media outlets that discusses issues that I don't care about and candidates that makes no sense and trying to persuade me who to vote for at the same time. I have decided to do research and expose myself to reliable sources. I hope voters could allow themselves to gain independent of thought and vote.

Romual Jean-Baptiste on Statesmanship

I just became a US Citizen three weeks ago. I'm 21 years old in my senior year at Stony Brook University. I have been living in the US since I was eight years old as a Permanent Legal Resident prior to becoming a Citizen. Therefore, this November will be the first time that I will be able to vote in any elections. I have been following the presidential elections forever now and as a political science major and someone who have ran and won student government elections, I feel that all i am looking at are politicians being politicians.
