I received this email from a reader and I thought I would post it here along with my response. Please comment on what your thoughts are.
Readers' email:
Here’s the question.
Do we want Obama as President and worse yet an ALL Democrat government. I don’t think so.
Ron, ran a good primary and probably would have been a good president however the facts show that he will not win the presidency. By running he will be taking away valuable votes that McCain can use to defeat Obama. If your goal is to sink McCain then by all means go for it because Obama will win then. If your goal is to make a better and stronger nation not under Democratic control then the best thing, IF YOU TRULY LOVE YOUR COUNTRY, is to get behind McCain so we can defeat Obama.
I’m sorry but I can not at this time see any logic in running.
I’ve heard people say we need to make a point, a stand – and if we vote for McCain we’re becoming enablers. Well isn’t enablers better then having a democratic president that will certainly run our country down.
Please consider what is best for the country and not for yourself.

My Response:
McCain is a MORON & Obama is a PUNK. Both are worthless. This is not about Ron Paul, this about education and liberty. This movement will be a tremendous force to reckon with in four years.
I will NEVER support or vote party lines. I vote principle. Even though I have been Republican for all my life I am American first. I do not buy into party garbage and collectivist thought.
If Obama wins so be it. The GOP needs a good kick in the ass for their Neonconservative idiocy, warmongering, inflate, tax and live beyond our means policies. Not to mention all the legislation passed violating the Constitution and the sovereign rights of the American people.
Will Obama be different? No. We are given the illusion of choice. Neither is any different when you look at the end result.
My generation and millions of savvy Americans who stopped believing the idiot tube long ago are dedicating their resources to bring us back to our principles and restore the proper role of government: subservience to the people.
It is people like you who have brought America to the brink of failure as a nation with “we need to stick together” group think. It is people like us the free thinkers and producers who will bring us back and make America great again. The journey may be long and hard but that pales in comparison to the police state that is rising up around us.
Obama – McCain are two sides of the same failed, anointed, elite selected CFR candidates that will give us nothing but the same garbage that has been coming from Bush, Clinton, Bush for decades.
Please open you eyes and join the REVOLUTION

And his reply to which I came to the conclusion that I would be wasting time even addressing all the contradictions & exaggerations in his response.
It’s to bad you feel that way and all the adjectives you use describing myself and others must be a plus for you and certainly shows the level of education in and around your organization. You may be right, you may be wrong – but what is shining through now is your anger and hatred for those that do not think like you. I can see why your organization had so much success in the primaries. As a Christian I’d be appalled to even be associated with those that think and act like you do. My only hope for your organization is that others are not following in your foot steps and have more sense then you in writing emails – I’ll pray for you my friend as you certainly need help. Attitude and how you treat others has a lot to do with convincing. You should really take a class in people skills. Actions speak louder than words and you’re doing more harm for you cause then good. Your email is a complete turnoff. Thank you for your answer but no thanks – enjoy the revolution.
God Bless and have a good day,
Steve

Steve and Karl
Hi you two, both very intelligent men.
Forgive and Do Even Better the Next moment, Carpe Diem! Look, sometimes the arrogant do not know their own arrogance... so forgive, perhaps enlighten, but still, do your best to see their point past the arrogance; for there was a good point in his argument and it was with a good heart.
You are probably both very good Christians... please don't make the argument about that!
The question is how to do the best for our country we have already lost and we need to gain it back and we must realize we are amongst brothers and sisters and we must listen to one another. The greatest skill is to listen deeply and care and let go of the argument for arguments sake.
Steve and Karl, you both certainly make a valid point. It is not black and white as to what is right? Is it?
Plenty of artists see in more colors and many are republicans. We must see the many colors, like an artist. The soul is mysterious and knows every hair... none of which are white or black upon my head, nor my actions.
So, where you two disagree, where you feel insulted, where you see arrogance, where you miss the point.... forgive and ask forgiveness. I ask your forgiveness in advance for I am sure I am missing something... I am sure I can communicate better and receive the both of you better.
Live not in fear, live in pure faith of the light shining in your heart. That which allows and even creates one heartbeat to the next and the next... listen, it speaks of what it wants for you and of you and to hear it in the first place requires silence of judgement, silence of any argument. Be at peace you two brothers and allow some new genius to flourish and contribute.
Grace

doing more damage than good response
I am also a Christian. When reading about the post and the responses, regarding whether we are doing more damage than good, I think about what being a Christian stands for. How many people want to pick the lesser of two evils? Isn't it kind of the same as choosing to deny Jesus, even though you believe in him, for fear of man. Why is it that you Steve, trust so little in God, that you believe God will NOT take care of us if we vote with our hearts, we vote true to our morals, we vote without lying about who we are. I truly believe that this country needs God, and I will not lie by voting for someone who I do not believe in. I can ONLY trust that I am making the right decision, and leave the rest in Gods hands. I will vote for Ron Paul. Fear destroys all, faith believes all is possible.
