Some food for thought

I have come to the understanding that not everyone is going to believe that our government is capable of any wrong doing. These are the same people who are willing to give up liberty for security.
I have something to say to those people, which also gives me some reassurance. From an ancient Chinese proverb that is true with every single one of us.

HE who knows that enough is enough
will always have enough.

We all know these moments, we have all reached them at one point or another. It is a different point for all of us. Some of us can take more than others. What worries me is that by the time these people who think the government will never do them wrong, will not figure out what has happened it will be too late.
Now here is something for our government officials to think about.

The wise person embraces the One and sets an example to all.
Not putting on a show, he shines;
not justifying himself,
he is distinguished;
not boasting,
he is acknowledged.
He does not quarrel,
so no one quarrels with him.

The first line simply means that a wise person embraces God, the golden rules, what ever spiritually guides you.
The rest is fairly self explanatory.
Kind of sounds like what Ron Paul has been telling Congress now since 2001.
Here is one more.

Only do what needs to be done.
Do not take advantage of power.
Counsel others not to use force to conquer the universe.
This only brings resistance.
And thorn bushes spring up when the army has passed.

Basically this is a warning to any leader that if you use force to accomplish anything, it will be taken away from you.
Man can not stop nature. Is it not natural for man to want to be free?
Eventually the thorn bushes of resistance will once again spring up.

Back when China had no formal (written) laws, it was the guidance of this type of philosophy that guided the emperor on ruling a nation.
