This day keeps getting more unbelievable! For those of you who might  not know yet, today is quickly turning into a spectacular fundraising day for Ron Paul. You've already raised over $3.6 million since midnight!

As of 7:00 PM EST, Ron Paul has managed to rake in an impressive $4.4  million, eclipsing his own $4.3 million one day internet fundraising record set on November 5th. Having begun the day with fourth quarter total $11.5 million, the Ron Paul campaign now has $15.9 million.

The Ron Paul blimp is an aerial billboard emblazoned on one side with  "Who is Ron Paul? Google (nasdaq: GOOG - news - people ) Ron Paul." The other side reads "Ron Paul Revolution." The blimp, another grass-roots effort, was in Chester, S.C., on Sunday, and organizers hope to get it to New Hampshire before the Jan. 8 primary there.

In short, none of the reasons why the other candidates--short of money  or media or troops or a passion for something other than winning, or needing to suck up to the elites--need to score big early or quickly depart, pertain to Ron Paul.
I alluded to this earlier but the main point is that because of these factors Ron Paul can fight everywhere and pick off votes and delegates while the others have to carefully allocate their scarce resources.
It's like a guerilla war of attrition against a standing army and you know who usually wins those fights.

Called a ``Money Bomb,'' the goal is to raise as much money as possible  on the Internet in one day. The campaign's previous fundraiser brought in $4.2 million.
As of 5:30 p.m. EST, donations were approaching $4 million, according to the campaign Web site. Those donations are processed credit card receipts, said Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton. Benton said the median donation is about $50 in the fundraiser, which was the idea of Paul supporters who are not officially connected to the campaign.

Ron Paul has out raised all of his GOP opponents this quarter and most  likely is sitting on more cash as well. Over 100,000 people have donated to Paul’s campaign this quarter demonstrating his popular support among Republicans.
Strategically Paul’s campaign is in the strongest position now to win the GOP nomination. Unlike his opponents, Paul’s donor base, because it is so huge, isn’t close to being maxed out according to contribution laws

Presidential candidate Ron Paul is on course to smash the record for fundraising in one day and is likely to make anything up to $7 million dollars by midnight as donors flood the campaign coffers on Tea Party day.
The Congressman is set to make at least $6 million today, which would eclipse John Kerry's $5.7 million in one day record.

Insurgent White House hopeful Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) is on pace to  shatter his own one-day GOP online fundraising record, taking in an eye-popping $3 million through the first 14 hours of Sunday, his campaign said.
Paul, who raised $4.2 million in a single day in November, is poised to eclipse that total. He started the day with slightly less than $11.5 million raised in the fourth quarter, according to an aide. At 2:30 p.m., the contribution total on the campaign’s website said that the total was now $14.6 million and climbing steadily.

Ron Paul is currently on pace to raise over seven million for the day and may even raise more money if the rate of donations increases this afternoon. The numbers are staggering since Paul, unlike Huckabee, Romney, Giuliani, McCain, or Fred Thompson hasn’t been subsidized by extensive free media coverage on Television.
Ron Paul also looks like he will raise over 20 million for the quarter. To date over 100,000 people have donated to Paul’s campaign in the fourth quarter. Paul had raised just over 5 million in the third quarter and was positioned well among Republicans with the amount of cash on hand.

In Anson Chi's case, it was the campaign that brought him to the city.  Chi, 29, had been working as an engineer in information technology for seven years in Dallas. His inability to generate interest in a meetup group in Dallas caused him to rethink his life, he said.
Chi quit his job, moved to Austin and is living on his savings while serving as a Ron Paul volunteer.

Here would be a coalition that could appeal to all groups throughout America, to the middle class, workers, students, liberals, and conservatives alike. But Middle America, for the sake of gaining freedom from high taxes, inflation, and monopoly, would have to accept the idea of personal liberty and a loss of national face abroad. By far the most important thing is getting people to register Republican. It doesn't matter if we raise a hundred million pounds. It doesn't matter if we get 100% of the independent voters to support Ron Paul. It doesn't even matter if we convert every single Democrat into a paulite. If they aren't registered Republican, they can't vote. 2008 US Presidential candidate Ron Paul has easily passed his  campaign's 4th quarter goal of $12 million after raising a quick $1 million during the early morning hours of Sunday. The dramatic increase in cash is part of a one day fundraising effort that online oddsmakers have pegged to take in $5 million more before all is said and done. Assuming that most of Paul's ardent supporters will be donating during the daylight hours, the Republican candidate may be well on his way.

Beating all expectations, as of midnight EST, December 15, the Ron Paul  campaign raised nearly $12 million during its “Boston Tea Party” fund raiser organized by Trevor Lyman. Remarkably, in a 20 minute period earlier this evening, donations exceeded $250,000, a truly astronomical achievement for a candidate the corporate media consistently ranks as “second tier” and hardly worthy of mention. At the present rate, it is entirely possible the Ron Paul campaign will raise over $20 million by the end of the quarter ending on December 31.

I’m retired Navy with 21 years active duty service and a registered  Republican. I support Ron Paul for president. He is a true patriot of freedom and liberty.
The tyranny of our well-intended government exists domestically as well with oppressive regulation and overtaxation. We cannot afford national health care, national public schools, or national Social Security. We can not continue to spend and borrow like we are doing now.

Congressman Ron Paul is yet again chipping away at the back-breaking tax burden on middle-class Americans with his recently proposed legislation. The Property Tax Deduction for All Act would make taxes on property an “above the line” deduction, meaning that taxpayers could deduct their property taxes without having to itemize all their deductions.
This would make the deduction available to millions of homeowners who take the standard deduction.

 WILKES-BARRE TWP. – They could have been finishing their Christmas shopping in the warm confines of the nearby Wyoming Valley Mall. Instead they stood in sub-freezing temperatures along Kidder Street on Saturday trying to convince motorists to join them in their support of Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.
Many passing motorists honked and gave a thumbs-up to show their support of the bundled up campaigners’ efforts.

I was prematurely dismissive. For in the fast-changing landscape of  presidential campaigns, last week’s “Huck-a-Boom” is old news. Now it’s Ron Paul who is striking a chord among Republican voters turned off by Rudy, Mitt, Fred, John and Mike. Paul is raising big money from small contributors. While answering a question about the flat tax Senator McCain switched  without warning to Iraq. He wheeled on Congressman Paul and accused him of favoring a foreign policy like the one that allowed Hitler to come to power. To the crowd's great credit, McCain was roundly booed for the suggestion, though there were cheers mixed in.
It's unlikely the audience recognized McCain's sloppy logic or his ignorance of history. Mixed boos and cheers are the natural, confused reaction to the H-bomb. The Hitler Bomb depends for effect on logical fallacy, usually guilt by association or questionable cause. McCain used the questionable cause fallacy here. The mere mention of the name "Hitler" does the emotional heavy lifting.

The rally will culminate in a mock Boston Tea Party in front of the IRS building where Hansen will speak. Hansen is known for representing the Kahre trial defendents defendants where the jury returned zero convictions on 161 federal tax crimes. Here is a call to the hard-working people in this country, bewildered because they come up short each month as their dollar buys less and less. When the founding fathers talked about the need for a virtuous citizenry they were not talking about people who declined to cheat on their wives or drink or gamble. The Tea Party website has about twice as many pledges as the November 5th website which could translate into a 6-10 million dollar day. Paul’s campaign will have several spokesmen available tomorrow to discuss the expected record breaking day.

Is a vote for Paul, as some conservatives who doubtless share his  desire to return sovereignty to the states contend, “throwing away your vote?” No. Throwing away your vote means voting for business as usual: more illegal and immoral foreign wars, more corporate bailouts, more social programs that destroy families, more murder of the yet-to-be born, and more tax hikes to fund it all.

Supporters of the ten term congressman will begin the rally at 1:00pm  on the State House steps and walk the Freedom Trail to Faneuil Hall where the doors will open at 2:30. Inside Faneuil Hall banks of computers will be set up ready to securely process online donations made directly to Ron Paul’s official campaign site. The Texas congressman tied reduced spending with his plans to shrink  government as a strategy to improve the nation's financial health, suggesting closing some U.S. military bases overseas and an immediate military withdrawal from Iraq as measures that could be enacted upon his election.
Paul accused the U.S. government of empire building by invading Iraq and positioning itself to do the same in Iran.
"There's no constitutional authority to rule the world," he said.
He compared Iraq to present-day Vietnam, saying Vietnam is now a trading partner with the United States following the U.S. military's withdrawal from that nation.

As you may have heard, the libertarians have opened up their phone bank system for us to use and I am coordinating a nationwide home based phone bank. Here is the release I have sent out for the phone bank project to call New Hampshire. If you could forward this to everyone and anyone you know I would really appreciate it. Not only has Paul been successful, said Corrado, he does it as he  "breaks all the rules of presidential fundraising."
He said Paul hasn't relied on a network of high powered fundraisers to collect large donations, as many of the top candidates such as Giuliani and Democrat Hillary Clinton have. Rather, Corrado said, Paul has "harnessed the power of the Internet," to bring in large sums of money from small donors.
Black said many of the more prominent candidates raised much of their money earlier in the year and their major contributors have already donated the maximum allowed by law.

Now, another accusation is that he is an anti-Semite for being opposed to the Israeli lobby. If he was opposed to the Mexico lobby would that automatically make him racist against Mexicans? NO! It’s all politics. He believes that Israel has a right to sovereignty just like Palestine does! Why can’t we have it both ways? Unfortunately for most Americans, Paul said he doesn’t think his fellow  candidates, or most of Washington, understand how the monetary system works in the U.S., so they’re neglectful. But if they do, “they like the status quo and they like the benefits that come from it.”
But people – especially younger people – know just what they’re inheriting, the presidential hopeful said. So his message is being heard at the grassroots level thanks to lots of rising inflation, a declining standard of living, dependence on China and “a world crisis building over the dollar.”

After dismissing Ron Paul as quixotic, hopeless, impossible, and deluded,  the major media are discovering that the freedom message has legs.
If I were running a Presidential campaign, I'd like to be where Ron Paul is right now: on a strong surge to peak in January, when voter's interest and participation will translate into votes. Of course, it seems that there's very little in the Ron Paul campaign that's planned in advance. It just happens. Spontaneous revelations, creative projects, one at a time, all over the country. The media can no longer ignore the rEVOLution.

Moving right ahead, although a little off schedule, the Ron Paul blimp  launched early Friday morning from the Airship Management Hanger in Elizabeth City, N.C. The blimp is emblazoned on one side with “Who is Ron Paul? Google Ron Paul.” The other side reads “Ron Paul Revolution.”

But going on a show with a guy that calls our troops ‘terrorists’ (Beck  said Ron Paul supporters are terrorists and our troops donate to Dr. Paul’s campaign more than any other) and calls you (Ron Paul) ‘nuts’ or ‘crazy’ or ‘has looney ideas’ then tries to pass himself off as a libertarian … well, it’s just too much BS.

Ron Paul may be the only presidential candidate whose supporters get as much press as he does.
A 200-foot long blimp encouraging people to "Google Ron Paul," which was paid for by Paul supporters and is not affiliated with his campaign, is presently flying over North Carolina, according to the Associated Press. It "is scheduled to float up the East Coast past major cities," the AP reports.

My children will have their own families some day, and I want them to  have the same opportunity to home school their children, should they choose to do so. Ron Paul respects the individual needs and constitutional rights of families who decide to teach their children at home. His track record of integrity reassures me that, were he to become president, my children would not face restrictions on their freedom to raise their own children as they see fit. This is one of many, many reasons that my husband and I support Ron Paul’s bid for the presidency and why we are actively campaigning on his behalf. We strongly encourage all home schooling parents to do the same.

The harebrained idea started in an e-mail or online chat somewhere among Ron Paul supporters unaffiliated with the campaign.

Congressman Paul deeply laments the decline of liberty at home, as the war on terror is waged. He speaks almost alone against the USA PATRIOT Act, military tribunals, violations of habeas corpus, and consolidation of bureaucratic power. He makes the unpopular point that, had the pilots been armed on 9/11, the terror attack would have probably been a failure. He defends constitutional limits on power when they are most important and most in peril. In watching the nation he loves relinquish its liberty, he says, “It’s frightening to see us doing to ourselves what even bin Laden never dreamed he could accomplish with his suicide bombers.”

"We see Nevada as a real opportunity and there's a good chance we  can even win," Paul said. "I don't think it's an accident Nevadans appreciate the views I hold. They're free-spirited, they don't like taxation and they like to be left alone. People in Nevada are more oriented toward self-reliance."
And Paul sees Nevada for something else: a chance to score headlines Jan. 19 while the national media are in town covering the state's Democratic caucus, should he pull out a surprise victory. A Paul win here would muddle the party's already chaotic nominee-selection process.

In a dual effort to wreck Ron Paul’s presidential train and AFP, a neocon is jointly smearing the up-and-coming Texas Republican congressman and American Free Press. The record is set straight in Michael Collins Piper’s “Open Letter” to Medved on page 4. Meanwhile, more “dirty tricks” against Paul are planned for the late-evening, vote-counting hours in the New Hampshire primary set to be held on January 8.

FALLON -- Texas-based Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul  brought his platform to Churchill County on Thursday night with a campaign stop in Fallon.
Taking aim at the Federal Reserve system, the military- industrial complex, the Department of Education and foreign policy, Paul said the first cuts should be in foreign policy.
"Cutting foreign policy does not mean cutting national defense," he said. "We need to cut from the military-industrial complex and not the armed forces."

Yet Paul's critique of state capitalism takes on the commanding heights  of the system: the Federal Reserve. Inflation, he says, is the means by which the plutocratic elite gets the freshly-created assets first and gets to spend them at full value – while the currency is debauched and the poor and the middle class suffer. His is also a trenchant criticism of the military-industrial complex, which is the main beneficiary of a system founded on manipulation of the money-supply and a foreign policy of perpetual war. This is real economic populism to suit the times we are living in, and the mainstream media is taking note of how Paul's message targeting the central bankers is very effective.

I find it fascinating how many liberals and many conservatives in an effort to try to restore our rights are beginning to meet on “common ground” which is the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and it seems as though Ron Paul may be the catalyst - the common denominator causing people from both camps to begin to take seriously these documents and how both have been trampled on since the President Abe Lincoln era which began the dangerous dictatorial road to centralized government and it’s been so gradual most people did not realize we were losing our precious Republic.

The Ron Paul Blimp is scheduled for it's inaugural launch on Friday, Dec.  14, at approximately 8AM! The hanger gates are to open as early as 6AM, when the crew will be going through pre-flight checks.

Airship Management Services has graciously provided a large grassy area for the Ron Paul Blimp Inaugural Launch Rally with a perfect view of the airfield. There have already been Ron Paul supporters gathering who have set up a various assortment of tents for camping!

During high school, Ron worked in a drug store – his brothers said he  worked there so he could eat ice cream whenever he wanted it – but he learned a lot about business and pharmacy that helped in years to come. He also had a part-time job painting the school in the summer and delivering furniture for a local store. In college, he delivered laundry, and he even delivered mail during the Christmas holidays.
I came into the picture about 1952 when Ron was my escort to my 16th birthday party. Don't tell anyone – but I asked him... actually my birthday is February 29th and it was a Sadie Hawkins-type party where the girls asked the boys... and I asked him.
So the American Dream came true for a boy who delivered newspapers, a teen-ager who mowed lawns, delivered milk, delivered furniture, delivered laundry, and delivered mail, and for a man who then delivered babies. Now that dream continues with a man who is trying to deliver the message that freedom works and that true patriotism must not grow weak in the hearts of Americans, so that we can hang on to our Republic, for which the Founders gave their last, full measure of devotion.

Holt, who ran unsuccessfully for Arkansas lieutenant governor last year,  has tangled publicly with Huckabee over immigration. Huckabee, a Southern Baptist preacher, spoke out against Holt's proposal in 2005 to ban state services to illegal immigrants and said "I drink a different kind of Jesus juice."
That same year, Holt opposed Huckabee's unsuccessful effort to make children of illegal immigrants eligible for state-funded scholarships and in-state tuition to Arkansas colleges.

MSNBC will exclude (CENSOR) Ron Paul from an upcoming series on Meet the Press titled "Meet the Candidates."
As a concerned citizen, media reporting balance, honesty, truth and fairness is more than important, it is crucial to he survival of the United States. It is especially critical in this day and age of global, social, and political unrest. In the coming days, while we are preparing to elect a new commander-in-chief, we the people must decide upon who history will call the architect of a modern, model free society, or who will lead us into obscurity. Sadly, the media's reporting, balance, honesty, truth and fairness is absent from corrupt corporate controlled television and print news outlets, and Meet The Press is no exception.

Examining the records of both Ron Paul and Mitt Romney reveals some  important factors that should be considered. Mitt Romney did some great things as governor of Massachusetts, but he has also supported socialist viewpoints including government welfare and mandatory healthcare. Congressman Ron Paul, also known as "Dr. No", has an outstanding record of defending freedom with 20 years of voting in congress. It's up to you to decide which one of the candidates actually stands for the principles of freedom and the proper role of government.

People searching on Republican Ron Paul almost doubled that of Mike  Huckabee -- 45% vs. 23%, respectively. While, Mike Huckabee had almost double the searches on his name than on either Mitt Romney (12%) or Rudy Giuliani (10%). The other four Republican candidate names were each searched on less than 5%.

In the final Republican debate before the 2008 primaries, Congressman Ron Paul slammed the destruction of the dollar, warning that inflation was wiping out the middle class, while also pointing out that Americans did not need to reduce their standard of living so long as a foreign policy of funding a ballooning empire was changed.

If Huckabee is so well loved, why is no one donating to his campaign? People know these candidates need money to run an effective campaign. I guess Brother Huck's supporters will pray on it!
If Romney is so popular, why does he have to reach into his deep pockets and loan his own campaign $17 MILLION bux? Where are the donations from the little people?
How is it John McCain shows higher in polls than Ron Paul, but no one will support him with the cash a candidate needs?
If Fred Thompson is so popular as to be right up there with Rudy Julie Annie and Huckabee, why is it Ron Paul beats him in straw polls 32-15? Remember: These are Republican voters.
How can Ron Paul continue to win all these straw polls by Republican voters, yet polls show no one would vote for him?
How is it Ron Paul continues to raise so much money if no one except the "fringe" element out there supports him?
Why does Ron Paul's web site and his campaign show such popularity and numbers?

Although only 16,000 people pledged to donate on November 5, 38,000  people donated. Many people donated that did not pledge to donate because they didn’t want to give their email to the website. Even if the ratio of donors to pledges dropped a little from the November 5th event Paul will still likely raise over 6 million breaking fund raising records again.
Considering that Hillary Clinton raised about 22 million in the third quarter Sunday should make it painfully obvious how good Paul’s odds are of winning the GOP nomination.

There are very few political figures for whom I have any respect. One  exception is Congressman Ron Paul (R-TX). Ron has been a personal friend of mine for many years. I can assure you that he’s a “stand up guy,” who has voted “no” more times in Congress not just more than any other member, but more than the rest of that august body combined. He’s often called “Dr. No.”
The fact that he has managed to get re-elected numerous times - in Texas, of all places - in spite of his outspoken stands against the so-called “War on Drugs,” the “War on Terror” and other popular stupidities is one of the few things that make me think all is not absolutely lost in America.
How does he do it? Ron’s an almost archetypical country doctor; he simply radiates honesty and sound principles. He’s about the last person you’d expect to see in Congress. The voters may not agree with everything Ron believes in, but they know they can trust him to do what he says he’ll do: always vote for lower taxes, less regulation and, in fact, against absolutely anything not specifically authorized in the U.S. Constitution.

Washington , DC - Congressman Ron Paul is yet again chipping away at  the back-breaking tax burden on middle-class Americans with his recently proposed legislation. The Property Tax Deduction for All Act would make taxes on property an “above the line” deduction, meaning that taxpayers could deduct their property taxes without having to itemize all their deductions.
This would make the deduction available to millions of homeowners who take the standard deduction.

Here is what Ron Paul said about why he is on the "get out" side of the  Iraq war. It is not because it is politically expedient. It is because he was never on the "get in" side. He opposed it because it was a preemptive agressive war, and Congress ignored the Constitution in favor of the United Nations to give their responsibility for war to the President. Why did they do it? So they could get out from under the blame if it was wrong.

ABC's Z. Byron Wolf Reports: The universe of Ron Paul supporters on the Internet and in the flesh will converge this weekend in Boston with a symbolic anti-tax Tea Party; there will be a blimp overhead and a rally at Faneuil Hall, but no Ron Paul.

The true battle is in the primary elections, where only a minority of  Americans vote. But as Samuel Adams, one of the founders of our great country said, “It does not take a majority to prevail...but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men."
Once the primary hurdle has been passed, there is no doubt that Ron Paul’s candidacy will soar. His message resonates with the American people. His straw poll numbers and head-to-head records are a good indicator of what the world can expect in a general election. We want our freedom and our liberties protected. Most of all, his honest patriotism has reignited the flames of liberty that had nearly been extinguished here in the United States.

My 65 year-old father-in-law went to his first meet-up in a Columbus suburb a few days ago. Formerly an Edwards supporter, he's a classic example of why the 877-RON-PAUL number should have been promoted on equal footing with the Ron Paul website for donations sake. Dad doesn't have internet, won't put his credit card info out on it if he did, and will instead give on December 16th. by calling in his donation on the toll-free number.

So how does a grassroots campaign win an election that is decided by  party insiders?
Paul’s Montana campaign organizer, Kalispell resident David Hart, says he’s pondered that question. His answer, so far, has been to get some of Montana’s elected officials, including Sen. Jerry O’Neil, and state Reps. Rick Jore, Craig Witte and Roger Koopman, to endorse Paul.
Iverson seems to think Paul’s got a chance.
“He’s struck a chord with some folks in Montana,” he says.

Anyway, I told the Huckabee lady that I could not sign her petition,  because I did not think I was registered as a Republican (for years I have refused to do so, on principle). Then I thought about it a minute, and I found her again. I told her that if she could get me registered to vote in the Republican primary, I would sign her petition to put Huckabee on the ballot. She had all the forms, and so it was a deal.
Now (I think) I can vote in what will be my first presidential primary election ever. I will not be voting for Huckabee, but for Ron Paul — but I still like to think I've helped the cause of Freedom and Democracy by helping Huck get on the ballot.

Now, somebody, please, tell all of us how Islamic Terrorists, or even Iran with a nuke, requires our attention more than the above. Somebody, please, tell me how they can justify "defending freedom" abroad, while ignoring this threat to our freedom at home. Somebody, please, tell each and every one of us here what will happen if nations around the globe decide that it is no longer worth it for them to accept our dollar, due to our rampant abuse of it, and destruction of its value. How dare her just stand there and ask straight-forward direct questions of the candidates and let them answer! How dare her not make a spectacle of herself and try to steal the show!
Her minimalist, less is more approach, stripped the debate of everything but facts and logic and therefore showed the utter bankruptcy, shallowness, phoniness and self-contradiction of all the candidates but Ron Paul.
Ron Paul, without the cheap shots thrown at him by a biased panel and by hacks like Rudy, actually got a chance to speak and literally blew away the sophomoric competition.

The final Republican debate of 2007 began with questions on debt and taxes, and Ron Paul's fellow candidates showed that they have been listening to him for the past several months, talking about federalism and the Constitution and spending cuts.
If you listened closely, though, you would notice that the other candidates offered to cut only non-defense spending, continuing an expensive war and with it, any hope of balancing the budget.

There have been questions about Ron Paul's willingness to "fight" the radical "Islamofascists." Many in the Republican Party refuse to support Congressman Paul because they mistakenly believe that he is some sort of "pacifist hippy" since they don't understand why he doesn't support the "war." This is my attempt at explaining that position with some analogies, plain language, and references that anyone interested in actually defeating these "evil-doers" should find interesting.
