Republicans show they're afraid of Paul

It was interesting, but not surprising, that the old-guard Republicans billingsgazette(Bush, Burns, Rehberg) stooped to all the underhanded, dirty tricks they could get away with at their state convention June 20 to make sure the Ron Paul delegates were eliminated from the national convention.
The utter hypocrisy of it all reveals to me just how truly hypocritical and disgraceful the leadership of the Republican Party has become, especially Eric Iverson and Rick Hill. I was there as a Carbon County delegate and witnessed all this.

Paul's followers also succeeded in getting some of their cherished reviewjournalpositions included in the official state Republican platform, such as abolishing the Patriot Act and the Federal Reserve -- positions that put the Nevada Republican Party at odds with the national Republican platform.
"They totally threw the establishment for a loop here, and the Republican Party is still reeling from it," said David Damore, a political scientist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. U.S. should return to the gold, silver standard

The Federal Reserve with its poor monetary policies has created this morning sentinalinflationary spiral and is destroying the value of the dollar. Ever since the Federal Reserve was created in 1913, the dollar is on a steady decline and increased inflation.
In order to bring back a stable economy, Dr. Ron Paul is right. The United States should abolish the Federal Reserve and go back on the gold and silver standard, which is real constitutional money.

Barr - Paul Alliance Buzz Builds

So there we have it: No endorsement before the Campaign for Liberty nolanrally on Sept. 2, but perhaps one afterward. In the meantime, I expect Paul to have more and similar "kind words" for both Barr and Baldwin throughout the summer. I also fully expect to see both those candidates being given prime speaking slots at the Minneapolis rally.

Congressman Ron Paul says Members of the Congress are saying if we could only Nuclear Bomb Iran

Congressman Ron Paul has warned millions of radio listeners that the pakistan dailyUS is heading into a deadly confrontation with Iran, revealing his disbelief at members of Congress who have openly voiced support for a pre-emptive nuclear strike on the country.
"If we do (attack) it is going to be a disaster," the Congressman told the Alex Jones show this Thursday. "I was astounded to see on one of the networks the other day that the debate was not are we going to attack? but are we going to attack before or after the election?" Paul continued.
Experts have predicted gas will rise to $6 per gallon if the resolution passes, Paul believes that may happen anyway just by anticipation.

The Future is Now!

Our government leaders no longer stand for the people they are oped newssupposed to serve. Instead of standing on a foundation of truth, they pander lies for personal gain to a populace worn down by incessant brainwashing in the form of corporate-owned television, radio, newspaper, magazines, and government schools designed to disseminate government-approved propaganda and make sure that Johnny cannot read the many legislative sleights of hand passed by Congress and shoved down the throats of people too busy to do anything about it. These leaders know exactly what they are doing. It is we the people that need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Ron Paul came at a time when people needed someone in government to look the political hacks in the eye and speak the truth. With people like Ron Paul facing the enemy in public debate, more and more people are waking up from the slumber of complacency.

Kent Snyder, Chairman Ron Paul 2008, 1959-2008

We are still mourning the great loss of our good friend, colleague, and campaign for libertyfreedom fighter, Kent Snyder. Kent literally gave his entire life to this great cause of liberty. He single-handily launched the Ron Paul 2008 campaign and was the chairman of the campaign until he was stricken with pneumonia. Tragically, he lost his battle with the sickness on June 26, 2008. Kent will be remembered by many.
His months in the hospital and battle for his life ended with a $400,000 medical bill for his family to afford. Kent gave his life for our movement and message. He sacrificed dearly to see freedom prevail. His place in history will definitely not go unnoticed. Please do what you can to give back to Kent and his family.

Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the daily paulDeclaration of Independence? Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured. Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War. They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

Libertarian's are gathering at a campground near Sturgis to celebrate freedom over the Fourth of July holiday.
The Revolution Freedom Festival will provide five days of entertainment, speeches and prosperity -- according to a press release from the event organizers.
Organizers hope to share the same message of freedom and prosperitythat their leader Ron Paul has been presenting since the first revolution in the 1960s.

Campaign for Liberty

What can I say? A politician who ended his presidental race for the americanfreepressRepublican Party nomination transformed it into an actual movement for the young Americans who believe in restoring our Constitutional Republic. Ladies and gentlemen we are on the brink of making history. A movement that will surpass the hippie movement of the 60's. A movement that will undoubtedly bring real change to this country. A movement that can lead to actually restoring this republic through peaceful means.
What we have here is an opportunity. An opportunity to unite black, white, brown, yellow, under one umbrella. I'm not talking about a political ideology like Democratism, or Republicanism, communism, or socialism, but of one single fundamental universal truth; liberty.
So Campaign for Liberty. What an idea. Even if you are not a Republican or a Democrat. It does not matter. Why? Because this movement is for one thing and one thing only, which we can all agree is the most important, LIBERTY and the right to pursuit a life of ones own happiness.

Will Ron Paul supporters go from GOP to Bob Barr?

Paul didn't support the USA Patriot Act, while Barr did. Paul voted against the Iraq war resolution, while Barr did not. Barr also was a supporter of the war-on-drugs.
Barr now has changed his stance on each of those issues.
"Even at our Franklin County meetings there are misgivings," Noble said. "Bob Barr has a track record that isn't necessarily what most people think of as libertarian."

Libertarians try to soak up Ron Paul backers

"The two, in my opinion, are essentially the same candidate," said ohio.comRobert Fite, a student at Augustana College in Illinois who has signed up with the Barr campaign as an Internet activist to try to convert other Paul supporters.
Fite created a Facebook page titled "Bob BarrRon Paul" that got a thumbs-up from Barr's Facebook page. Another Web site provides a side-by-side comparison of the two candidates' views on Iraq and foreign policy, government spending, the Second Amendment and civil liberties.

Paul Calls For Hearings On Falling Dollar’s Impact On Oil

“Neither the Federal Reserve nor the Treasury Department have been willing to take responsibility for the dollar’s slide over the past several years, while American consumers have been forced to pay continually higher prices for gasoline, heating oil and numerous other imported products upon which Americans depend,” Paul noted in his letter. “American consumers cannot afford to allow continued lax Congressional oversight of the Federal Reserve and the Treasury Department’s duties as stewards of the dollar, especially since the dollar is a major factor in the skyrocketing price of oil.”

RON PAUL IS STILL ELIGIBLE FOR THE GOP NOMINATION.

Many of you are aware that Ron Paul officially suspended his campaign a nolancouple of weeks ago. What many are not aware of, however, is that this campaign suspension was merely a legal formality, governing the use of Ron Paul's campaign donations.
Similar to Mitt Romney, Dr. Paul is no longer actively campaigning, but *IS* still eligible to win the GOP nomination, and WILL still have bound delegates present at the Republican National Convention in September. The phenomenal success of Ron Paul's delegates at this past weekend's Nevada Republican state convention attest to how active and excited the Ron Paul movement is to elect him the GOP nominee.

Books: The Revolution, A Manifesto, by Ron Paul Part II of II

In his latest book, written on the campaign trail and released in April, The Revolution: A Manifestothe revolutionCongressman Ron Paul (R-TX14) clearly lays out the ideas behind his presidential run and a strong case for limiting the federal government to its constitutional bounds and reining in a runaway Washington, D.C. before it collapses of its own weight, crushing many of us with it.
The book does not shine a favorable light on either major party. Libertarian-leaning Paul sees the United States as living in a fantasy world at the dawn of the twenty-first century.
All in all, Paul writes a convincing book on his visions of change for America that should be required reading for liberals and conservatives alike as they get set to cast their votes this general election.

Unpatriotic Sean Hannity

It might be easy to dismiss Hannity as a mere hypocrite, but he's charlestoncity paperactually something much worse. Whereas Republicans like Ron Paul put America first, place the national interest above their party, and oppose wars conducted by both Clinton and Bush on the same principle, Hannity puts the Republican Party first and has no qualms about putting our troops in harm's way and policing the world so long as the sheriff's badge reads "GOP." I have no doubt that if our current war in Iraq was the work of President Al Gore, Hannity would oppose it as he did Clinton's war in 1999, simply because it was being waged by a Democrat.

Group Protests McCain's Appearance

A handful of protesters stood outside the downtown Marriott in Indianapolis awaiting John McCain's arrival Tuesday.
Protesters from "We are Change - Central Indiana" stood across the street at the convention center, chanting and holding signs.
Perry Shepherd with the group says McCain is a "puppet" and is lying to the American people.
Shepherd says the group was mostly in support of fellow Republican Ron Paul.

This speech could have been made today and it would PERFECTLY describe what we have let our government do. King delivered Beyond Vietnam: A Time to Break Silence. In the speech he spoke strongly against the U.S.'s role in the war, insisting that the U.S. was in Vietnam "to occupy it as an American colony" and calling the U.S. government "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today."

McCain and Obama basically agree on immigration, says an amazed campaign for libertyYahoo. What’s the big surprise? They basically agree on monetary policy, fiscal policy (John 100-Years-In-Iraq-Is-A-OK McCain is not credible here), global warming, and much more. Even foreign policy doesn’t really separate the candidates: Obama gives us a lot of boilerplate about how this is no time to retreat into “isolationism,” etc., and has grown hawkish on Iran.
